Dried Apple Pomace — Flakes & Pellets
Dried Apple Pomace is obtained from the solid material remaining after apples are pressed for juice. This material is dried to produce a fibrous feed ingredient containing apple pulp and peel fragments.
The loose form has a naturally varied texture and colour. Its composition depends on the raw apples, juice extraction process and drying conditions.
Nutritional value
Provides apple-derived fibre, including pectic substances, together with residual carbohydrates. It can form part of balanced recipes requiring a fruit-based fibre source. Inclusion levels should be based on the supplied analysis and the requirements of the complete diet.
Application
Livestock feeds and pet food formulations. Particle size and further milling requirements should be selected according to the production process.
