Brewer’s Yeast on DDGS Base
Brewer’s Yeast on DDGS Base is produced by cultivating Saccharomyces cerevisiae on a liquid wheat distillers substrate. The yeast biomass is subsequently separated, concentrated and dried.
The finished product contains approximately 92% yeast and 8% DDGS. It combines yeast-derived protein with a small proportion of distillers material and has a characteristic brown colour and brewer’s yeast odour.
Nutritional value
With a protein content of 43 ± 1.5% on a dry matter basis, this ingredient provides protein and amino acids for balanced feed formulations. It is supplied as a feed material, rather than as a live-yeast probiotic additive.
Application
A protein ingredient for livestock feeds, complementary feeds and pet food formulations. Inclusion levels should be adapted to the animal species and complete diet.
